I discovered this library, La Bibliothèque Bastille in Nantes whilst on fieldwork to design a new guided walking route from the town to Procé Parc. It’s a magnificent brick building, very municipal, and excitingly for urban historians, it occupies the site of the old toll house. The book chapter where I describe this fieldwork in Nantes is now published (Aug 2021) by Springer, edited by B. Piga.
